Your wealth will outlive you.
This chapter of your family will not.

You’ve built something worth passing down. And you know there’s more it could make possible.

A family that knows one another deeply. A purpose every generation has a hand in shaping. Wealth that gives each person room to grow, contribute, and build a meaningful life; including you.

This kind of family IS possible and it deserves the same level of sophistication and intention you have given to creating your wealth.

Leave them more than assets. Leave them a healthy family culture.

HAWKWARD

The problem

The greatest risk to family offices is not financial.

Sophisticated trusts, exceptional managers, disciplined governance, flawless succession and a family can still fail to accomplish what its wealth was intended to accomplish.

HAWKWARD

Trust funds cannot make a family trust.

A trust can distribute assets. It cannot give voice to intentions never spoken, or restore trust learned through honest conversation.

Shared ownership is not shared purpose.

Ownership can make siblings financial partners. It cannot answer what they want to build together, especially when responsibility arrives before purpose.

Capital is not culture.

An estate plan can move capital. It cannot pass down how this family tells the truth, develops judgment, handles disagreement, and creates together.

Family
Manifesto

What are we here to create?

Not a values exercise or a static mission statement

Hawkward’s Manifesto is the process through which the family moves beneath inherited patterns, connects deeply, and discovers what it is genuinely here to create together.

We help families move beyond the roles their members have learned to play and discover one another at a depth many have never experienced. As long-held patterns begin to loosen, renewed honesty, trust, and shared purpose become possible.

From that deeper connection, the family recovers the creative capacity to turn its collective wealth into a meaningful mission together.

What the family walks away with
Shared
Vision

A future the family can see, believe in, and feel excited to create together.

Collaborative
Mission

A meaningful direction for the family’s wealth, with a genuine role for every member.

Renewed
Connection

The honesty, trust, and intimacy to know one another beyond inherited family roles.

Family
Covenant

Who will we be to one another?

THE MISSION & MONEY CAN'T OUTRUN THE CULTURE CARRYING THEM

Hawkward’s Covenant installs a new relational operating system with an intentional way of communicating, disagreeing, repairing, deciding, and collaborating.

The greatest insurance a family of multigenerational wealth can build is healthy relational infrastructure and the family culture it intentionally creates.

The Covenant brings the family’s “unsaids” and “can’t-says” into honest conversation, giving members a way to tell the truth, navigate disagreement, and remain connected when the stakes are high.

What the family walks away with
Relational
Commitments

Shared agreements about how members will treat one another, protect connection, and carry the family’s mission together.

Communication
Codes

Clear practices that make the unsaid sayable and help members communicate honestly without sacrificing belonging.

Conflict &
Repair Practices

A trusted way to move through disagreement, repair broken trust, and return to meaningful collaboration.

Decision
Principles

Shared filters that help the family make consequential decisions without allowing unspoken relational dynamics to take control.

Family
Charter

What is each of us uniquely here to carry?

The family needs more than a future secured for them

Hawkward’s Charter gives each member a meaningful commission within the family mission built around what they uniquely care about, see, and are moved to carry.

Too often, the next generation inherits assets, expectations, and predetermined roles without discovering where they genuinely belong. The family gains beneficiaries, but not necessarily empowered stewards or committed collaborators.

By aligning every member’s unique strengths and interests with the family’s shared mission, the Charter turns inheritance into participation and shared purpose into meaningful action.

What the family walks away with
Stewardship
Signatures

Clarity about what each member genuinely cares about, uniquely contributes, and is naturally equipped to carry.

Personal
Commissions

A meaningful role for each member—designed around who they uniquely are and connected directly to the family’s mission.

Shared
Initiatives

Meaningful work the family can undertake together, turning its shared purpose into contribution, creation, and impact.

Governance
Practices

Clear ways for members to participate, develop responsibility, exercise authority, and shape the family’s future together.

The process

The Six-Month Partnership

By the end of six months, the family has built more than a document. It has built the connection to dream together, the culture to stay together, and the structure to create together.

Designed around your family

Two family retreats anchor a tailored mix of family sessions and private coaching. We shape the rhythm around your family, creating space for individual work and bringing it back into shared conversation, commitment, and action.

HAWKWARD leads and carries the process, so every family member can participate without having to become its emotional caretaker, mediator, or spiritual leader.

Opening
retreat
Begin together.

Family-wide or one generation to start. We surface the intentions beneath the wealth and get clear together on the work we are about to begin.

Months 1–3
Manifesto
Discover what you are here to create.

Through private coaching and family conversations, we move beneath inherited roles, deepen connection, and bring each person’s hopes into a shared family dream with words, direction, and a mission.

Month 4
Covenant
Practice a new way of relating.

The family practices speaking honestly, navigating disagreement, and repairing trust—then makes clear commitments about how it will carry the mission together.

Months 5–6
Charter
Put shared purpose into motion.

Each member finds their unique contribution and shapes it into a meaningful commission, with the initiatives, responsibilities, and decision practices that bring the mission into everyday life.

Closing
retreat
Commission one another.

The foundation is established. The family commissions itself and one another for what comes next.

About HAWKWARD

Family wealth & business is personal to us.

We both come from family businesses. We know how closely love, responsibility, identity, and money become intertwined. And how much of ourselves can get lost in the roles we inherit.

We have also seen what becomes possible when those relationships change. The place where people feel most constrained can become the place where they are most deeply known, supported, and empowered to create.

That possibility is why we do this work.

We give families what we wish we had: the guidance to heal together, connect beyond inherited roles, and build a shared mission with a meaningful place for everyone. Within a family business or family office, that connection has somewhere to go. It shapes how people lead, what they build, whom they employ, and what their wealth makes possible.

HAWKWARD brings together the emotional and relational mastery to restore connection and the practical infrastructure to give it life.

About HAWKWARD
What we create together
Robert J. Mitzman
Robert J. Mitzman
FOUNDER, BANKING

“I’ve spent much of my life building success and creating opportunities for my family. Through this process, I began to see legacy differently.

We’ve built a shared purpose where every generation has something to give and something to receive. It’s created a deeper level of connection, mutual responsibility, and a sense of ownership in what we’re building together.

My greatest legacy isn’t just what I leave behind, but what we create together.”

Finding our way back to each other
Chris Hamilton
Chris Hamilton
FOUNDER, AUTO GROUP

“I wanted my family back. I had lost the connection with my kids, and I didn’t know how to find my way back to them. This work helped us build a depth of relationship I hadn’t imagined was possible.

That connection became the foundation for a future we wanted to be part of together.

That’s the legacy I want to create.”

The greatest investment
Daniel Price
Daniel Price
FOUNDER, PRIVATE EQUITY

“I’ve spent much of my life focused on building success and creating financial freedom. Through this process, I began to realize that the greatest investment I could make was in myself and the relationships that matter most.

As I’ve grown in my own leadership, I’ve found a deeper sense of peace, connection, and purpose within my family. We’re not just building financial wealth together. We’re building the trust, alignment, and relationships that allow us to truly thrive together.

That’s the legacy I want to create.”

A broader vision of legacy

“With young kids, it’s easy to define the future by what you can provide. Through our work together, I began to see legacy more broadly: the love they feel, the culture we create, and the confidence they develop to build meaningful lives.

This work has connected wealth-building to what matters most—the father I want to be, the family we’re creating, and the values I hope guide them long after I’m gone.

I’m not just building wealth for my children—I’m building a life of purpose with them, so they inherit not only what I leave behind, but the courage, love, and values to make it their own.”
